If this was not true, then, as a simple matter of economics, it is highly unlikely that she would have been brought to Gor. Those slavers who are natively Gorean expect arrogance and insolence from Gorean free women, who, after all, are free, but they do not find it acceptable in Earth women, whom they regard for the most part as uncollared slave stock.
