I did not want to use a belt on her, or such, because, as a master, first, I tend to be a bit sparing in such matters, and, second, before I administer such a punishment, I usually, though not always, wish for the woman to have an ample opportunity to anticipate it, and thus to understand what it is all about and why it being done to her.
