Goreans tend to be very sensitive to matters of ritual, tradition, custom, symbolism, and such. Accordingly, in allotting decisions amongst slaves to chance a low-denomination coin is preferred, this symbolic of the slave's worthlessness, even if she is a high slave who might actually sell for golden tarn disks.
